Why We Should Have A Three Day Weekend

  Why we should have a 3 day weekend

I strongly believe that we should have three day weekends.  There are so many reasons and I would love to tell you some of them. 

First of all we should  have a three day weekend so people can rest . Some people  don't rest on weekends because of work like nurses and doctors.  They can't rest that much because they have to save people's lives. For kids like me it would feel like a dream come true  like you can sleep in. 

                                  

Secondly, with more days off, people can spend more time with their friends and family. 

I think that we don't  have enough time  for our family .

You can have a sleepover with your friends or a Movie night with your family. Shop, shop, shop! Go shopping and go to the park basically to spend time with your family.

Thirdly you can rest more and get ready for school or work  because you will have less school time. We should have a three day weekend  because For kids like me it would feel like a dream come true  like you can sleep in. 

In conclusion I just think it's best to have a three day weekend and I hope you agree with me .

Direction to The Hub

 

My  goal is to go to The Hub Hornby from Hornby Primary School.  The directions are as follows:

Go out the school gate onto Waterloo Road. Go left and walk straight towards Carmen Road Stop at the intersection facing the right side. Press the grey button to cross the road. Wait for the go sign or the green walking light . Cross Carmen Road towards the G.A.S station and walk straight. Walk all the way down to Chalmers Street. Turn right to Chalmers Street until you see The Hub on your left.       You have arrived at your destination!

Life ED Learning Tattling or Telling

 Room 11 went to the Life Education Van Siobhan told us about safety and to hold the rails .

First we talked about what we learned about  last year  and then we played Flinch  , talked to Harold and got jokes from Harold  and Siobhan told us how messy Harold room is  and lastly we talked about Tattling or Telling . We could only get up if we thinked about the colour .

The Viking Village

I went on a ship and got stranded on an island.There was a weird village with wobbly roads and and dirty floors .

Everyone was playing instruments. People were Sharpening knives and kids playing with .   Barrels I smelled  the yummy food that was already made and burning smoke .  

There was a swampy green lake with the perfect green grass around it.

On the houses there are polished swords  and axes shields were nice and strong  on top of the houses there are dragon heads and swirls.

There's fishes going up and down the lake  .The drawbridge was getting  polished  

Until clean its was shimmering and glittering .  

 

 There was a lot of stores selling swords ,axes ,
armer ,blankets ,pillows and food .

My comment : The village was a bit strange and scary i could feel the skulls staring at me .

Grey Warbler

In my class we drew the Riroriro  because are new class name is Riroriro

 

1. The grey warbler has a lot  of different names like the Riroriro and the grey Gerygone.

2. They eat insects like caterpillars, flies and moths .

3. They hang out in New Zealand’s native plants.

   

4. The grey warbler weighs about 6.5g, which is around one-third the weight of a mouse

5. They are the lightest bird in New Zealand .

Dufffy Theater Writing

 Last week on monday we  went to the Duffy Theater .

 sound effects trolley .Then they introduced the characters like the mom , Scruffy Duffy's sister . moo moo Molly, Auntie , the chickens and the teacher.

 Duffy was trying to milk moo moo  Molly Duffy was doing good so far and then Duffy accidently hurt moo moo Molly  then moo moo  Molly got sad and squirts milk on Duffy .

Then Scruffy threw Duffy into the chicken coop  Then the chickens chased Duffy around the house .But then Auntie went back home and Duffy was trying to hide the chickens but he got caught and Auntie was talking to the chickens to calm down , auntie saw that Scruffy was hiding something  and auntie saw that her plant  was pulled out   . Scruffy got caught and auntie was a bit sad because of her plant .

But it was time to go on zoom so Duffy hurried  to his ipad and answered the call the teacher was on mute and did not know how to work the computer but the teacher figured it out and there was a student with a silly name but Duffy thought it was  just his friend so the teacher just ignored the person with the silly name .  

The teacher was sending them their work but it didn't go  through so the teacher just made them write and read about teacups  . Meanwhile  Scruffy was going on Snap chat so Duffy took her ipad and Scruffy wanted her ipad so she pretended to be sorry and she wouldn't do it again . Duffy forgave Scruffy and worked on the writing about teacups and got frustrated   because Duffy wanted real books  but Scruffy was not doing what she was supposed to be  doing  and Duffy got really mad that he threw the ipads out the window . 

The next day Duffy called his mom and  what happened so the mom said that if you worked for auntie you can get iPad okay Duffy said but can i   ‘’a book please’’  ‘’ yes i will get you a book Duffy's ‘’ mum said .Scruffy and Duffy were working in the farm with auntie  ‘’ That was fun ‘’ Duffy said  . They got their ipads and duffy got the book about Muas   but Scruffy sanitized the book  and Duffy got mad at scruffy  and they got mad at each other  . So Duffy decided to go for a walk and to get fresh air  but then Duffy fell down a hole  and saw mua bones and found Bess Scruffy went for a walk to fined Duffy  while she was saying some good stuff about Duffy until scruffy heard a voice just like Duffy . Scruffy saw Duffy and Duffy  said  can you please get some help  scruffy said okay ill go get auntie .then scruffy went to go get auntie and they arrived  with the tractor and some ropes they got Duffy out and auntie saw Bless and was really happy but then auntie saw some Mua bones and they put it in a museum .Lockdown was   finally finished  and Duffy found a book thats just like the Mua book .

I loved the show because it was funny and cool
